The VGA Extender allows VGA video signals to be transmitted up to 135 meters via 4-paris CAT5e / CAT6e STP or UTP cable. 1. CAT5e 22-23 AWG UTP/STP or CAT6e 22-23AWG UTP/STP cable.

2. There are certain models and brands of monitors which are sync-sensitive and

usage of STP (shielding twisted pair) cable required instead of UTP (unshielded twisted pair) cable.

• For new type monitors > 17”, recommended setting at mode 1 for the best stability. If the picture not normal, then switch to Mode 2.
• For old type monitors e.g. CRT < 17”, recommended setting at mode 2. If the picture still not normal after adjust the dip switch of VE01P-R. Then please use STP (shielding twisted pair) cable.

• Sync Filter is designed for using UTP CAT5e / CAT6e cabling.
• Sync Filter level adjustment is to add to sync stability, but not to adjust picture quality or to eliminate skew.
• Since different brand / model displays have different setting there is no recommended setting.
• Please adjust the level based on picture stability. If no picture displayed or picture not stable, then please use STP cable. 

Caution: 

• The wiring must be away from electro-magnetic equipment, i.e. microwave, wireless devices, hi-voltage cable etc.
• The maximum distances supported by the VGA Extender are dependent on the type of
• twisted pair cable quality and image resolution of the PC’s VGA interface. Make sure that the maximum recommended operational distances have not been exceeded as per diagram below.
• All wiring is “straight-through” twisted pair cable between transmitter and receiver unit, not being used for other LAN or telephone equipment.
• Do not connect the VGA Extender to a telecommunication or Ethernet Switch outlet wired to unrelated equipment. 

Troubleshooting picture problems:

No picture display: 

• Check Link cable.
• Check DIP switch setting.
• Check VGA cable connection / pins.
• Change the resolution or frequency of graphics card.
• Change STP / UTP cable RJ45 connectors and use high quality 22AWG – 23 AWG.

Picture not stable or disappear intermittence or no picture display:

• Check DIP switch setting.
• Change the resolution or frequency on PC graphics card.
• Ensure VGA Wallplate transmitter and receiver not installed near electro-magnetic equipment.
• Change Link cable for STP cable.

Picture tilt: 

• Check DIP switch setting.
• Change the resolution or frequency on PC graphics card.
