Shielded cables are more expensive than Unshielded even on lower bandwidth, but provides a better signal transfer on longer distances and shields better from electromagnetic interference. Cables > 20 meter will be supplied together with a set of RJ45 connectors and boots which fits onto each end of the cable. To terminate / crimp RJ45 connectors correctly onto UTP or STP cables use RJ45 / RJ11 Crimping tool for UTP / STP cables.

For shorter distances < 25 Meter you can use cheaper UTP CAT6 cabling on HDMI Extenders, but Shielded Twisted Pair is the manufacturer recommendation.
