This is a connector cable to convert from Mini-Displayport to HDMI Female. To connect to a DVI screen from the HDMI Female use a Male HDMI to Male DVI cable at 1.8 Meter - HDMI to DVI Cable HDMI 1.3 28AWG. *NOTE* ATI Eyefinity: You will need an active mini-displayport adapter which is USB powered for ATI Eyefinity Graphics cards since this passive / cable adapter will not work for ATI Eyefinity. It works with any mini-displayport Macbook and ATI cards with mini-DP that is not Eyefinity enabled and any device that can send a HDMI signal via the mini-Displayport port.
*NOTE* AUDIO: This adapter will support audio only if your source device allows audio output through the Mini DisplayPorts interface. If you're not sure, please check with the manufacturer or website, to confirm if your device allows audio out through the Mini-DP interface.
