GPU Power Cable – Dual Female 6 pin PCIe Cable to Single Male 8 pin PCIe – Graphics Card Power Cable for graphics cards 6 pin to 8 pin PCIE

This adapter allows you to connect older PC Power Supplies with 6pin PCI Express (PCIE) Connectors only to newer 8Pin PCIe Graphics cards. If you use 1 x 6pin connector only the cable will also function but only up to 75 watts, when 2 x 6pin connectors connected it will function up to 150w which is needed by most 8pin PCIE Connector graphics cards + if on PCIe x16 Slot up to 225W.

Power conversion cables NOT recommended for GPU Mining due to cards requiring power above nominal power draw and no power supplied via direct PCIE x16 Slot due to risers used and cables will overheat and melt in the long term. Physical Damage on incorrect cable usage on a graphics card needing too many watts above the cable maximum watts will not be replaced under warranty.

This Cable will provide up to 2 x 75Watts = 150Watts via the 2x6pin connectors to 8pin and will draw up to 75 Watt from the PCI Express x16 Slot. THIS IS NOT THE CASE WHEN USING A PCIe Riser and Cable will only provide 150 Watts via the 2x6pin connectors and another maximum of 30 watts via the riser sata or molex connector on a PCIe riser before it will run too hot.

  • GPU Maximum Power to be used when on PCIe x16 Slot : 150Watts from Cable Max Power + 75Watts from PCIe x16 Slot = 225 Watts Max Power usage
  • GPU Maximum Power to be used on cable when on PCI Riser : 160 Watts Max Power Usage
Common Graphics Cards Nominal Wattages (Excluding Overclocking wattages, if overclocked cards will use more power) – DO NOT USE THE CARD WITH THE CABLE IF IT EXCEEDS WATTS ABOVE on the specific setup.
  • Nvidia GTX1050 – Nominal Wattage 75W – Cable safe to use when on PCIe x16 Slot providing additional 75W to card
  • Nvidia GTX1060 – Nominal Wattage 120W – Cable safe to use when on PCIe x16 Slot providing additional 75W to card
  • Nvidia GTX1070 – Nominal Wattage 150W – Cable safe to use when on PCIe x16 Slot providing additional 75W to card
  • Nvidia GTX1080/TI – Nominal Wattage 225W – 2 x of these cables can be used from 4 x 6pin Connectors for this card due to 2 x 8pin connectors on this card
  • AMD RX460 – Nominal Wattage 75W – Cable safe to use when on PCIex16 Slot providing additional 75W to card
  • AMD RX470 – Nominal Wattage 120W – Cable safe to use when on PCIe x16 Slot providing additional 75W to card 
  • AMD RX570 – Nominal Wattage 150W – Cable safe to use when on PCIe x16 Slot providing additional 75W to card
  • AMD RX480/580 – Nominal Wattage 185W – Cable safe to use when on PCIe x16 Slot providing additional 75W to card
