Mostly used on ATi Graphics Cards / Nvidia Graphics Cards / Apple Notebooks – MacBook, MacBook Pro, MacBook Air, iMac, MacMini or any other device with a Thunderbolt or mini Displayport Port.
Mini-DisplayPort is a miniaturized version of DisplayPort, a digital display interface developed by the Video Electronics Standards Association (VESA).
Please note when using this adapter that only 1 output port can be active / connected at a time to a display.
Max Supported Resolution – 1920x1080p, 12-bits / channel, or 12*3 = 36bits on all channels.
*NOTE* ATI Eyefinity: You will need an active mini-displayport adapter which is USB powered for ATI Eyefinity Graphics cards since this passive / cable adapter will not work for ATI Eyefinity. It works with any mini-displayport Macbook and ATI / Nvidia cards or Macbook devices with mini-DP that is not Eyefinity enabled and any device that can send a HDMI signal via the mini-Displayport port.
*NOTE* AUDIO: This adapter will support audio only on HDMI if your source device allows audio output through the Mini DisplayPorts interface. If you’re not sure, please check with the manufacturer or website, to confirm if your device allows audio out through the Mini-DP interface.
