Solder-on Connector – XLR Male 3 Pin Metal with Black Sleeve
The XLR connector is a style of an electrical connector, primarily found on professional audio, video, and stage lighting equipment. The connectors are circular in design and have between 3 and 7 pins. They are most commonly associated with balanced audio interconnection, including AES3 digital audio, but are also used for lighting control, low-voltage power supplies, and other applications.
Three-pin XLR connectors are by far the most common style, and are an industry standard for balanced audio signals. The great majority of professional microphones uses the XLR connector.
Three-pin XLR connectors are used to interconnect powered speakers with line-level signals. This use is commonly seen in PA system applications.
Rechargeable devices exist that use three-pin XLR connectors. These can be found on electric powered mobility wheelchairs and scooters. The connectors carry from 2 to 10 amps at 24 volts
