P Address Settings

Defaults are 192.168.1.239 for TX (Transmitters) and 192.168.1.231 for RX (Receivers). For initial setup your needs to determine which IP addresses you want to assign as dedicated IP addresses to the units. This range should be excluded from DHCP Scope on your router if a Internet Router is connected to the same switch, if no router connected to the same switch as units then DHCP assigned duplicate addresses will not be an issue.

To do the intial setup download the app below for Windows – http://www.hdbitt.com/download-matrix/HDbitT_E-Matrix_Control.rar or at https://www.hdcabling.co.za/wp-content/uploads/2020/06/software/HDbitT_E-Matrix_Control.rar

Your PC / Laptop IP where the setup is being done from should connect to the same network switch and need to be on the 192.168.1.x subnet to ensure you can communicate to 192.168.1.x devices e.g assign 192.168.1.50 or any .x last digit between 10 and 230 to PC as example with a subnet mask of 255.255.255.0.

Android and other operating system apps at http://www.hdbitt.com/download-matrix/. Extract the .rar file

For TX choose IP Ranges that is excluded from DHCP Router addresses if router on Network – Example of 2 TX units below

  • TX 1 : 192.168.1.240
  • TX 2 : 192.168.1.241

For RX Choose IP Ranges that is excluded from DHCP Router addresses if router on Network – Example of 4 RX units below

  • RX 1 : 192.168.1.245
  • RX 2 : 192.168.1.246
  • RX 3 : 192.168.1.247
  • RX 4 : 192.168.1.248

After Launching the HDbitT_E-Matrix_Control.exe app click “Start Scan”. Easiest is to configure 1 x TX and 1 x RX on unique IP addresses before adding other TX and RX to the network, example below

Click TX_Setup and Assign IP Addresses manually from example range above – for TX Units per Unit – UNTICK DHCP

Click RX_Setup and Assign IP Addresses manually – for RX Units per Unit – UNTICK DHCP
