This adapter is mainly used to connect a 3.5mm S/PDIF digital jack on a computer sound card or portable device to the Digital Coax input on a Receiver or Surround Sound Processor via a Digital RCA Coaxial cable.

Note: Your output device must be able to transmit a digital coax signal. This adapter will not work if your device only outputs L/R analog stereo signals or is a mini toslink optical output.

This product has been tested with the Soundblaster Audigy range 3.5mm digital output to a digital coaxial input on a receiver / amplifier and will work with all soundcards that uses a 3.5mm digital output.
